As of May 26, 2019 I have performed the role of Carl Perkins (father of rockabilly) 726 times. I owe much of this extraordinary employment to original MDQ music director, Chuck Mead- a great musician, writer, teacher, and friend.

I wore tight, tight jeans in the Shiva and the Newman at The Public, and then on Broadway. We made a ferocious cast recording and played Jimmy Fallon. Still pinching myself.
Recently, I had the great pleasure to revisit the piece, directing it at Wagner College on Staten Island in 2018!
